Looking for a great wood and pumpkin carving tool set?

The relatively short blades (about 1") let you get your hands close to the work, while the uniquely shaped handle can be held like a pencil. All tools (about 5 1/2" to 6" long overall) come razor sharp and ready to use. Rc63-65.

The set, which comes in a presentation case, includes 3mm and 6mm deep gouges, 7.5mm straight and skew chisels, and a 4.5mm parting tool. A perfect set for adding decorative detail to cabinetwork.

Great for general carving projects of wood, rubbers, pumpkin, clay and soapstone etc.

An excellent buy for any carver, beginner or pro.

So it’s important to know that you should have the sharp shiny side down but other than that I use them all the time

Remember all blades need to be sharpened the more you use them.

My wife watched a you tube video and decided she wanted to give it a try. After one day she is getting more comfortable with the knives and chisels, getting better by the hour.

Used them for my printmaking class. We are carving a small wood plate to make prints with. I made a octopus. These tools made it all possible.

Works great

They for me at least dont work super great for wood. I know that's what they're for. I use them on my clay sculptures and they work amazing. They're made very nice, the wood handles feel expensive. Gotta be careful, which should be an obvious with sharp things but I guess my brain thought I was above all. I jammed one right into my finger. Only happened because I'm dumb though. Don't be like me.

Love the old school

When i was young i saw my neighbors used these tools to carve anything. Modern technology replaces all that and I was using rotary tools to curve some woods. These drill grinders are hard to use especially when curving some lettering. I prefer this old-school carving. Yes, it's tough on your hands but I'm more comfortable working on it.

Good tools!

They feel good in the hand, and are razor sharp. I used the to carve a pipe, and they worked great, but expect some cuts and stabbing if your new to using these kinds of hand tools.

Good for printmaking with wood

I got these for carving wood blocks for printmaking. My teacher said the tools I was originally using weren’t meant for wood so that’s why I bought these. He hasn’t said anything about these tools. I do wish there were more rounded or v gauge ones because I don’t use the straight ones
