Easy fit. Did 1 mile of snow hiking at Yosemite. Indeed served the purpose.
Sometimes snow stuck with rocks on spike.

Nice

I bought one pair of these for myself when I was planning a winter backpacking trip with my sister. When COVID cancelled that trip I used them just for walking on our local trails, which were heavily packed down into an icy mess from the many people trying to get outside for something to do. The spikes worked so well that I immediately bought two more pairs for my 8 and 10 year old children, who have been equally impressed with how much easier they make walking on icy and lightly snowy trails. I have recommended them to other people who have stopped me on the trails to ask where we got them. They easily clip to a backpack with a carabiner if you aren't sure if you will need them or need to take them off when you find a stretch of bare trail (you shouldn't wear them on open dirt because they will dig up the surface and encourage trail erosion). If you are a winter walker these are definitely worth the investment.

Recommended for everyone..

I'm from Florida so I wasn't exactly sure how to use them or how they worked, but they were pretty self-explanatory when I pulled them out of the packaging. I did speak to a woman who was wearing ice cleats before using them and she said to just trust them instead of walking funny. Great advice! We put them on and hiked on solid ice at Arches Nat'l Park and it was such a relief to be able to walk quickly on slick surfaces instead of constantly worrying I would take a fall (like I did the first day of vacation before I tried the ice cleats). Highly recommend getting a pair of these if you're headed to a cold and icy environment but you don't want to invest in expensive cold weather gear.

great

So, I’ve only taken them on one hike in the White Mountains. There was hard packed snow on the trails about 10 inches deep. Traction was very low without them on my boots at first. After putting them on, I felt like Spider-Man. I was sticking to the trail really well. No slipping at all. They were honestly great. My wife was also wearing the same pair and she had the same experience. I would recommend having these in your bag for any winter hikes.

Nice one...

I have had two other types of cleats for walking on ice, one with coiled springs and another with short studs. Both helped a little but still didn't make me feel comfortable when walking across ice. I'm close to 70 and have slipped and fallen on ice a few times. These are incredible! Easy to put on shoes or boots and once on I think I could walk up a 45 degree ice covered incline! I feel completely safe and comfortable walking on ice. The only draw back is that you shouldn't put these on in the house or on floor covering you want to keep in goo9d shape. I put them on outside, on a deck and they puncture the wood on the deck - for me not a big problem and much better than sliding and falling on ice.
